Make Your Own Easy Gingerbread Houses

Easy Gingerbread Houses www.talesofahomeschoolfamily.taberstruths.com

This is a fun activity to do with your kids or with a whole group.

We first did it several years ago at a friend’s house.   At that time, she had each family bring a bag of confectioners sugar and a bag of chocolate candies of choice.

To make the houses that we did, you’ll need paper plates, 6 whole graham crackers per child, ‘cement’, and a variety of chocolates, gummies and/or candy canes and paper towels for clean up.

Allow time for the ‘cement’ to set and it will hold up the graham cracker walls…that is of course if you can keep the kids from eating their creation!

This is a lot of fun because each child gets to ‘express’ themselves.   Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s down right “interesting”!

We called this one, “Abandoned shack in the woods”.

Even the adults got in on the fun!
