Naturade VeganSmart Nutritional Shake Review!

Since I'm in a new season of fitness and wellness, I'm always curious to try foods that augment my health.

When it comes to protein shakes, I am very picky.  In order for me to consider drinking one, it must NOT contain any artificial sweeteners.  Because of this requirement, the market for what I would actually consume is pretty slim.  When I looked at the ingredients in  VeganSmart All-in-One Nutritional Shake, I was willing to give it a try.

VeganSmart from Naturade Review!

Vegan Smart

Following a daily workout, I delightfully blended up my first shake.  CHOCOLATE!  8 oz ice, some distilled water and one packet of VeganSmart.

It smelled really good and tasted delish as well!

I am accustomed to feeling satisfied and strengthen after consuming an 'approved' protein shake.  Unfortunately, I did not feel full after drinking this brand and a short while later I felt light headed and not myself.

After checking the ingredients again, I see that organic cane sugar AND rice syrup are added alongside Stevia.  That had me puzzled as I know Stevia to be more than sweet enough.  But, I chalk it up to an 'off day' and don't think much more about it.

The next day after my workout, I break out the Vanilla packet and add it to 8 oz ice, 1/4 cup plain unsweetened yougart and 1/2 banana (plus enough distilled water to make it blend).

The Vanilla smelled great, and it tasted great.  But, once again, I felt light headed and "off".

I have experience with two other brand named, Vegan, non-artificially sweetened protein shakes.  One more expensive than VeganSmart and the other less expensive.  I can say that the VeganSmart brand tasted 100% better than the cheaper brand and just as good as the more expensive brand.

For the record, I do not suffer from any medical conditions.  Despite the nutritional bonuses and great taste, I regret that VeganSmart just did not do well with my body.
